The art of misunderstanding
After a month of physical and mental inability and with the sense of guilt as a mother who was unable to protect my own child, I finally managed to forgive myself by mixing colors and transformed my anguish into an embrace.

Amore e Pandemia (series)

Acrylic on Canvas, 50x70cm

At the end of August 2021, together with my 3 year old son, we had a bad accident.
Luckily, we got out alive but the wounds left on the soul were deep.

After a month of physical and mental inability and with the sense of guilt as a mother who was unable to protect my own child, I finally managed to forgive myself by mixing colors and transformed my anguish into an embrace.

In a historical moment, amidst the pandemic and the isolation it brought upon us all, the simple gesture of a hug became a revolutionary act. I hoped to give back to the world and myself the importance of this human gesture by painting the series.
